Below we have some frequently asked questions about or organization. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions!
"When are try outs?"
Our placements are Wednesday and Thursday, August 23 & 24 in the White Building! See the Events Page for more information!
"How many rehearsals can I miss for showcase?"
You are only allowed to have two, excused absences for performance dances. After that, your choreographer and exec has the choice to remove you from their dance.
"Do I need to attend ballet technique if I'm only dancing in hip hop?"
Nope, not unless you want to! As a hip hop performer, your technique is Skills and Strenghts.
"Do I need at attend technique if I am a non- performer?"
You do not have a technique requirement as a non- performer! Performers are required to attend one technique of their choosing, a week.
"Can I join Volé in the middle of the semester?"
Yes, you can! You just have to join as a non- performer instead of a performer. No worries though! You can perform the next semester!
"Where is technique and rehearsals held?"
We have technique and limited rehearsals in the White Building and the Hub. We also have rehearsal space in other locations off campus, and transportation set up as well!

"What is production?"
Production is our ending number of our showcase! This is complied of a mash up of multiple or the same artists, where all levels dance in the same piece together. There are bi- weekly rehearsals for production for each section, as well as combined rehearsals with all levels. This is less of a time commitment but is a great way to meet more members in Volé!
"How many dances can I be apart in for the showcase?"
You can be apart of three dances total in showcase. Each dance requires an hour of rehearsal a week, on top of the one hour of technique a week. If you are interested in doing more with Volé, you can audition to be a choreographer, run for an exec or committee position or join our performance company!
